Lazy Day

I needed a lazy day today.  It’s been a long and stressful week, and some days you just need a day to be lazy.  Today is the day.  I probably wouldn’t even be awake right now, if someone had not called me on the phone. Now that I am awake though, it is a beautiful day outside, and I am going to enjoy it the best I can.

What are you doing this Sunday?

About Joe

I began my life in the South and for five years lived as a closeted teacher, but am now making a new life for myself as an oral historian in New England. I think my life will work out the way it was always meant to be. That doesn't mean there won't be ups and downs; that's all part of life. It means I just have to be patient. I feel like October 7, 2015 is my new birthday. It's a beginning filled with great hope. It's a second chance to live my life…not anyone else's. My profile picture is "David and Me," 2001 painting by artist Steve Walker. It happens to be one of my favorite modern gay art pieces. View all posts by Joe

Today: Checked email and my sites, beginning with this one, then to my grandson's 6th birthday party — bowling!! What bedlam!!! But he and his friends had a great time. Then back home, cooked greek lemon chicken soup for tonight and tomorrow. Now some tv.A very good photo here, as usual! Makes me want to be young again and experience some of what I missed along the way 🙂 🙂

I did the usual tour des blogs and true to form, being 6 hours ahead of everyone only helps on weekdays. Then I took a shower, and got the only thing opened on a Sunday here, Subway, for lunch. Partner took a break from studying, then I tried to inspire myself to write, but I just really wasn't feeling like it. I pushed around a bit of what I wrote, added a paragraph, and then watched Lie to Me on Paris Primere.

How much I love Sunday – morning jog, coffee hunt, big breakie, catching up on news, strolling around and groceries.
