Not only was the high yesterday a chilly 55 degrees here in Vermont, but I seem to have come down with a cold. I need some NyQuil or DayQuil for this because it is the sniffling, sneezing, aching, coughing, stuffy-head, fever, so you can rest medicine. Luckily, I don’t seem to have a fever. Since I wrote this last night, I am hoping that I feel better by the time this posts in the morning, or else, I’ll have to call in sick to work.
About Joe
I began my life in the South and for five years lived as a closeted teacher, but am now making a new life for myself as an oral historian in New England. I think my life will work out the way it was always meant to be. That doesn't mean there won't be ups and downs; that's all part of life. It means I just have to be patient. I feel like October 7, 2015 is my new birthday. It's a beginning filled with great hope. It's a second chance to live my life…not anyone else's.
My profile picture is "David and Me," 2001 painting by artist Steve Walker. It happens to be one of my favorite modern gay art pieces.

I’m located some 300 miles south of you at a beach house on the south shore of Long Island. The weather this spring has been unusually cold; the house’s storm windows are still up and it doesn’t look like they will be taken down anytime soon. As I write this post, the temperature is 58. I can well imagine how chilly it feels right now in upper New England.
