I began my life in the South and for five years lived as a closeted teacher, but am now making a new life for myself as an oral historian in New England. I think my life will work out the way it was always meant to be. That doesn't mean there won't be ups and downs; that's all part of life. It means I just have to be patient. I feel like October 7, 2015 is my new birthday. It's a beginning filled with great hope. It's a second chance to live my life…not anyone else's.     What a sweet and gentle soul…looking for a snack…I had three teeth extracted on Wednesday and the only pleasure that I got from it was the reassuring touches from the periodontist. Several times he put his hand on me to reassure me and comfort me…I was so grateful! Honestly, it was the most comfort I’ve gotten through contact with another man in some time…I dated someone for a month in 2024 and he certainly lacked any ability to soothe me. His office phoned me on Thursday and then he also phoned me and made sure I had his cell phone number and told me to call any time…I had told him about a dentist I had known in Louisville while I was in law school and how close I was to Steve and how similar they look…after a break I mentioned that Steve was my best man…Steve died at a very young age. Apparently what I said about dead Steve touched David…I kept wishing I played golf so I’d have a pretext to do something socially! I’’m sure his wife Carly is well looked after! Stupid crushes on straight guys…

    He’s lovely, tall and slim and wondering what next to eat! I know what I’d like to eat and it’s not in the fridge.
