Busy, Busy, Busy

I know I promised Wednesday posts about male nudes in art throughout history, so I apologize that there won’t be one this week. I have been swamped at work all week and too exhausted when I get home to spend the time preparing a post. It’s been the week from hell, and nothing seems to be going like it should. It’s getting to me mentally too, as I’ve been feeling depressed and anxious. I have an event that I organized  happening today, and it seems like everything associated with it has been made more difficult than it should have been. Once today is over, I can breathe a little easier, but the rest of the week is just as busy as the week has been so far. I can’t wait until Saturday when I’ll finally get a day of rest.

About Joe

I began my life in the South and for five years lived as a closeted teacher, but am now making a new life for myself as an oral historian in New England. I think my life will work out the way it was always meant to be. That doesn't mean there won't be ups and downs; that's all part of life. It means I just have to be patient. I feel like October 7, 2015 is my new birthday. It's a beginning filled with great hope. It's a second chance to live my life…not anyone else's. My profile picture is "David and Me," 2001 painting by artist Steve Walker. It happens to be one of my favorite modern gay art pieces. View all posts by Joe

We’re with you, Joe. You’ll handle this rough week. Every minute is closer to the time you can relax with Isabella.

Joe, peaceful thoughts from here in Indianapolis…my I B S acted up this morning after breakfast so I’m going to have to do laundry again tomorrow! Ironically I was scheduled to see my gastroenterologist this afternoon—they were actually nice about my cancellation—there really isn’t anything they can do…he put me on Linzess earlier this year and it made things worse (but the ads sound so hopeful!!! The doctor told me it had a 50/50 shot at working so I wasn’t expecting a great result). Focus on your work stresses! I think it is remarkable that you devote so much time to this blog…obviously I’m sure you enjoy the research but then this is the composition and typing…I KNOW it takes a lot of time…Many thanks for what you share!
