Happy Holidays

It’s that time of year again, and I am in a holiday mood. Christmas will be here in three weeks. I decorated my Christmas tree last night and spent most of the night making cookies for my students. Two of my high school classes decided that they wanted me to have their Christmas parties in my classroom this year. I always make pistachio/cherry cookies that are dipped in white chocolate, and I have yet to find anyone who did not like them. Next week I give my final exam in my college class and I will give my semester exams for all my other classes. It’s going to be a busy week but then we will have two weeks off for the holidays.

I began my life in the South and for five years lived as a closeted teacher, but am now making a new life for myself as an oral historian in New England. I think my life will work out the way it was always meant to be. That doesn't mean there won't be ups and downs; that's all part of life. It means I just have to be patient. I feel like October 7, 2015 is my new birthday. It's a beginning filled with great hope. It's a second chance to live my life…not anyone else's. My profile picture is "David and Me," 2001 painting by artist Steve Walker. It happens to be one of my favorite modern gay art pieces. View all posts by Joe

Nice tree! I really like the "topper" right there in the middle, interesting change from an angel on top!I'm sure the end of the semester is hectic for you. We don't end the semester until mid-January, thanks to our King's Dominion Law.Have fun baking, I made one batch of cookies last weekend, and have more on tap for tonight and tomorrow.Peace <3Jay

Sure, equality to have money enough to be able to cook even in a tiny kitchen – if it possible to get a roof, if not a home -and not being starving ; equality to be able to have a teacher and to be allowed to be learned.we are rather far from that…..and more and more…best thoughts french anonymous
