Just Because…

…I’d love to be in Venice, Italy, right now.

About Joe

I began my life in the South and for five years lived as a closeted teacher, but am now making a new life for myself as an oral historian in New England. I think my life will work out the way it was always meant to be. That doesn't mean there won't be ups and downs; that's all part of life. It means I just have to be patient. I feel like October 7, 2015 is my new birthday. It's a beginning filled with great hope. It's a second chance to live my life…not anyone else's. My profile picture is "David and Me," 2001 painting by artist Steve Walker. It happens to be one of my favorite modern gay art pieces. View all posts by Joe

One of the many places I'd like to visit. If you like mysteries read Donna Leon. She's an expat Briton who lives there and sets all her stories there. Her main character is a wonderful guy. The Grandmother of one of my class mates in elementary school went on the around the world cruise and she did a HUGE show and tell on her return. Since then I've been itching to do that.

Coop, I am a huge fan of Donna Leon. I have read all of her Brunetti books, except the last two, which I am trying to find time to read. I loved Venice when I was there. The picture above was actually taken by me.Jay, it is very beautiful.
