Continued Migraine

I had a much different post in mind for today, but my migraine that started Tuesday has continued. Yesterday was particularly rough as I tried to work and just bear with it. I made it half a day. Although I have a ton of meetings, I’m not sure I’ll be able to make it in today at all. This has just been a particularly bad one.

About Joe

I began my life in the South and for five years lived as a closeted teacher, but am now making a new life for myself as an oral historian in New England. I think my life will work out the way it was always meant to be. That doesn't mean there won't be ups and downs; that's all part of life. It means I just have to be patient. I feel like October 7, 2015 is my new birthday. It's a beginning filled with great hope. It's a second chance to live my life…not anyone else's. My profile picture is "David and Me," 2001 painting by artist Steve Walker. It happens to be one of my favorite modern gay art pieces. View all posts by Joe

You’re awfully cute when you’re sick. Get well soon. Weather is changing from winter to spring. Have you tried nutraceuticals?

I take vitamin B2 and magnesium oxide supplements which have been helpful in reducing the number of migraines I have. Nothing seems to be helping this one.

Nurtec. When I type I can’t see what I’m typing so a computer correction is not visible before I submit. Nurtec.

I have not tried Nurtec. I take Amerge (naratriptan) when I have a migraine. I plan to talk to my neurologist when I see her next month about something different since naratriptan doesn’t seem to be helping anymore.

I hope you feel better really soon Joe. Migraines are no joke. The young man in the photo brings a smile to my face and salivary glands are working overtime.

Thanks. I think I’m finally feeling better this morning. Time will tell, sometimes migraines can fool you when you just woke up, but grow worse as the day goes on.
