I slept late this morning, so this will be a short post. Isabella usually has me up around 4 – 4:30 am, and rarely does she let me sleep past 5 am. However, this morning she let me sleep until my alarm went off at 5:30, though I know she tried to wake me earlier, I had ignored her. I have my alarm set for 5:30 because that is the latest I can wake up, have breakfast. and get out the door headed to get to work on time. Anyway, I slept later than usual, and now, I feel like I am in a bit of a rush today.
I began my life in the South and for five years lived as a closeted teacher, but am now making a new life for myself as an oral historian in New England. I think my life will work out the way it was always meant to be. That doesn't mean there won't be ups and downs; that's all part of life. It means I just have to be patient. I feel like October 7, 2015 is my new birthday. It's a beginning filled with great hope. It's a second chance to live my life…not anyone else's.

Dear Joe, what a super choice of an image for a chilly grey day in London. That young chap with his shaven crack is such a visual delight, especially as part of his bedroom is reflected in the mirror. 5* for composition. Let’s have a few more of similar pleasures.
