Thank goodness I’m working from home today. I didn’t sleep very well last night and woke up still feeling drowsy and having a migraine. It’s time for my next Botox treatment (next Thursday), and my headaches always get more intense and frequent. I have a few things that need doing today, but mostly I can take it easy. In fact, after I have breakfast, I may go back to bed for a bit.
I began my life in the South and for five years lived as a closeted teacher, but am now making a new life for myself as an oral historian in New England. I think my life will work out the way it was always meant to be. That doesn't mean there won't be ups and downs; that's all part of life. It means I just have to be patient. I feel like October 7, 2015 is my new birthday. It's a beginning filled with great hope. It's a second chance to live my life…not anyone else's.
My profile picture is "David and Me," 2001 painting by artist Steve Walker. It happens to be one of my favorite modern gay art pieces.

Hey Joe. I suffer with migraines constantly also. My Botox didn’t seem to take last time. These full moons always make me have them as well as any weather changes. I pray for you and that yours will be better soon.
Also I and several friends suffer from full moons syndrome each month…anxiety, awakening at 3 am each night, can’t rest, migraines. You ought to research for fun!
I’ll look into it. My Botox usually works, but only in combination with taking Qulipta, which is a daily CGRP migraine medicine. I usually suffer most when a storm from time through or there is a quick sudden change of temperature. I hope you are able to find some kind of relief from your migraines.
