Thank goodness it’s Friday! I don’t know about the rest of you, but I’m certainly glad the weekend is almost here.
For some reason, my days have felt off all week. I’ve spent much of the week thinking it was Friday already, only to be disappointed when I realized it wasn’t. I think Tuesday’s election and then being off work on Wednesday to get Botox for my migraines threw off my internal calendar. Whatever the reason, it’s made this week feel particularly strange, and I’ve been more than ready for Friday to arrive.
Otherwise, things have been fairly routine. I’ve been busy at work preparing for classes next week, and I’m looking forward to having a couple of days when I don’t have to worry about work. Of course, there’s always something that needs doing around the house, but whether I actually get around to doing any of it is another matter entirely.
I don’t have any big plans for the weekend, and that’s perfectly fine with me. Sometimes, the best weekends are the ones when you have absolutely nothing scheduled. A little relaxation, some time with Isabella, and perhaps a good book sound like a pretty good way to spend a couple of days.
First, though, I have to get through one more workday. At least this time, when I think it’s Friday, I’ll actually be right! Hopefully, it will be a quiet and uneventful day, and before I know it, I’ll be heading home to enjoy the weekend.
