About Joe

I began my life in the South and for five years lived as a closeted teacher, but am now making a new life for myself as an oral historian in New England. I think my life will work out the way it was always meant to be. That doesn't mean there won't be ups and downs; that's all part of life. It means I just have to be patient. I feel like October 7, 2015 is my new birthday. It's a beginning filled with great hope. It's a second chance to live my life…not anyone else's.   Awesome blog! Do you have any hints for aspiring writers?
  I’m hoping to start my own website soon but I’m a little lost
  on everything. Would you propose starting with a free platform like WordPress or go
  for a paid option? There are so many options out there that I’m completely overwhelmed ..
  Any ideas? Thanks!

    Thank you for your kind words. I use both Blogger and WordPress as platforms. My WordPress is actually a back-up/mirror blog. There are advantages to both. If you are mainly going to be blogging using a mobile device then WordPress is best in my opinion. However, Blogger has more free features and is very easy to use on a computer. If you’re stuck on content, I merely say be yourself. Blog what you want to and you’ll find like-minded people who will follow you. That’s why I blog, and I have met some wonderful friends through my blog.
