Moment of Zen: Athletic Shorts

As the temperature becomes warmer, men begin to wear shorts out in public more often. I happen to find athletic shorts (and bathing suits/board shorts) very sexy. All of the women I know, find them disgusting. One even calls them “wiener shorts.” But what do women know? It’s gay men who create the aesthetics in this world, and I find athletic shorts aesthetically pleasing and often quite revealing. And lets don’t forget how well they show off a man’s best ass-ets.

Moment of Zen: Forgiveness

My friend did find it in his heart to forgive me. All of the things I was stressing about on Thursday turned out pretty well Friday. So, even though it’s been a rather crappy week, the weekend is shaping up to be much better.

Moment of Zen: Spring Break

I wish I had been able to go somewhere and just relax for spring break, but if I’m going to be truthful, I enjoyed all of the preparations I did this week for my drama club production. At least with this, there will be the reward of satisfaction for a job well done, as opposed to a sunburn. Besides, the weather has been kind of crappy this week. The first part of the week was cold, and the last part of the week was rainy. Therefore, the beach would not have been much fun. It doesn’t mean I won’t bitch and complain because I was working instead of laying out on the beach, but overall, I really enjoyed what I did this week.

The drama club will be something I will miss if I leave my current job at the end of this year, but I will only be leaving if I get hired at one of two positions I am currently applying for and am fairly hopeful about. Job applications are always a wait and see game, but it’s a little easier to do when you have a job already, no matter how little it pays.

Also, for teachers the most important part of spring break is being away from the students for a week. At this time each year, we are as tired of the students as they are of us. We need a week to recuperate before the mad rush to the end of the school year, which is just seven weeks away.

Moment of Zen: Spring

Even though Spring is officially still a week away, and some of you still have snow on the ground, here in Alabama, Spring had sprung. Bit it is springing elsewhere too. A friend of mine in Minnesota sent me a message the other day, because he finally some grass after months of only ice and snow. He was very excited and reminded me of just how much I love Spring and all of its beauty. The signs of Spring are always exciting to me, and for my friends in the North, I am sure that the first signs of spring are very exciting, especially after a winter that some are saying is the coldest it’s been in decades.

Moment of Zen: Sunshine

With my bronchitis, I’ve been mostly relegated to being inside, but we have had some sunny days. One of my favorite things is to lay on a couch with the sun streaming in a large picture window while enjoying a nice afternoon nap. The picture above radiates warmth, comfort, and peacefulness to me.
