Moment of Zen: Just Waking Up…

This is the first day of my two weeks of freedom for Christmas, and I chose to sleep in as much as I wanted to. What are you up to today?

I began my life in the South and for five years lived as a closeted teacher, but am now making a new life for myself as an oral historian in New England. I think my life will work out the way it was always meant to be. That doesn't mean there won't be ups and downs; that's all part of life. It means I just have to be patient. I feel like October 7, 2015 is my new birthday. It's a beginning filled with great hope. It's a second chance to live my life…not anyone else's.   I finished up the Christmas cards, chases squirrels away from the suet feeder a lot, made moussaka for a visit from my husband's sister who came bearing all edible and drinkable Christmas presents, wrote a blog entry, and am now about to eat dinner.

  Busy Day —furniture moving this morning ~ lunch with friends ~ work at a friend's shop in the afternoon ~ traveled way out of town to see a client on business that must be finished asap~ Christmas cards (I know I kept that address in a safe place!) ~ tv Christmas specials (PBS reruns) this pm~ make more cheesecakes tomorrow ~ distributed 4 this week…about 5 to go…Wish I had been able to stay in bed with that young man in the photo!!!Enjoy your time off, Professor!!!
