Moment of Zen: The Winter Olympics

There are a lot of athletes I could have chosen for my moment of zen, but because of the great pictures of John Daly, I decided to choose him. I hope you find the Winter Olympics a Zen moment. I, obviously, realize there is controversy over Russia’s anti-gay propaganda laws, but the Olympics are about peace and honor. As the Olympic Charter states “The practice of sport is a human right. Every individual must have the possibility of practicing sport, without discrimination of any kind and in the Olympic spirit, which requires mutual understanding with a spirit of friendship, solidarity and fair play.” Go Team USA! I also wish all of the athletes a wonderful and safe games.

Why watch him: Daly was a BMX racer in his teens and a college track star. He finished in fourth place at the 2013 World Cup race, which is a long way from coming in 17th place back in 2010 at the Vancouver games.

    OMG Hey Joe, have you opened the “shirtlessiniceland” site up? You will not believe that there is a ‘OFFICAL WANTED’ Poster of this wacko & his friend. PLEASE check it out for yourself. IF ANYONE ELSE IS INTERESTED DO THE SAME, THIS “ACT” THEY ARE INVOLVED IN SICKIN’S MY STOMACH.

      I actually have. He says it’s all bullshit, and I believe him (I’ve read some of the court docs in the case), but I haven’t read his blog in a while. His blog shows up and disappears a lot, and it just got too frustrating to keep up with all his changes.

      There has been a guy after Mark aka “shirtlessiniceland” since he was a principal at a foreign school where this other guy got fired. Apparently he blamed Mark and then went about trying to destroy his life. As far as I’ve ever been able to tell, Mark “shirtlessiniceland” Simpson is a former educator and author whose life has been destroyed by a maniac bent on revenge. It’s very sad really that this guy has hijacked his blog again. Mark did have a very interesting blog about gay literature.
